A maturing Cisco sounds better, and with better guitar playing. My Lover Was A Logger is a winner, The Intoxicated Rat appeared on many Folkways LPs thoughout the years; they made lots more off it than Cisco did, I bet. It closes with Girl in the Wood, a tune Dr. Guy thinks among Cisco's best performances, which shows why, as my mother-in-law used to say, they make chocolate and vanilla.
Just a quirky thing, but the different covers list different songs. FA 2042 lists:
- Fare Thee Well
- Stagolee
- I Want To Go Home
- My Lover Was A Logger
- Hound Dog
- Drunken Rat
- Turtle Dove
- Girl In The Wood
- Gypsy Davy
- Fare Thee Well (hidden in the title bar)
- Stagolee
- I Want To Go Home
- My Lover Was A Logger
- Saturday Night
- Hound Dog
- Drunken Rat
- Turtle Dove
- Girl In The Wood
- Gypsy Davy
The endless name problem... Saturday Night is elsewhere known as True Love on my Mind. And who made these decisions, based on what?
